Blue Fox Takeover

Would you like to spot the Wauconda Area Public Library’s Blue Fox in your own front lawn? Fill out a drawing slip below for a chance to win a Blue Fox Takeover of your yard. Life-size Blue Fox cutouts could enjoy dwelling in your lawn for a few days this summer.

Please read and agree to conditions before proceeding.

  • You will be contacted the week prior to library staff coming if you have been picked as a winner.
  • Winners will have the fox signs in their yard for 3 days. 
  • There will be approximately 3-10 signs in your yard depending on size of lawn.
  • Fox signs will be installed using metal stakes inserted into the ground approximately 7" - 8” deep.
  • If you have a sprinkler system, please inform the library the location of the sprinkler lines and have them well marked the day library staff place in the signs. The library is not responsible for damage to your system if it is not properly marked and communicated.
  • You will need to turn off your sprinkler system.
  • Postpone yard services for the duration of the fox yard takeover.
  • The library is not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property during the setup or removal of any signs.
  • Please DO NOT allow anyone to play on or around the display. We also ask that you do not remove our signs from your lawn for any reason. Should you need them picked up early, give the library a call at 847-526-6225 and we’ll be happy to take care of it.
  • Please clean up all yard poop prior to our setup and takedown.
  • Put away all pets when signs are being installed and taken down by the library staff. 
  • All adults living in the household must be aware of agreement and set up. 
  • Placement of fox display is determined by library staff. 
  • You are responsible if anyone moves, removes, and damages any part of the display ($20/per sign). We kindly ask that the display not be touched. 
  • If you need to cancel the Blue Fox Takeover, it is not guaranteed that you will get another time for us to come.

You fully and forever release and discharge the Library, its Trustees, Officers, Employees, or Agents from any damages or injuries to any person that may occur related to your participation in the Blue Fox Takeover, and agree to indemnify, defend and hold them harmless from any and all claims, causes of action, losses, attorneys’ fees, costs, or other damages to any person or property resulting from, arising out of, or relating in any way to your participation in the Blue Fox Takeover.
