Independence Day Closing

The Library will be closed on Thursday, July 3 at 5:00 p.m. to accommodate fireworks show parking demands. The Library will remain closed through Friday, July 4 for Independence Day. We will reopen on Saturday, July 5th at 9:00 a.m.

Event Details

A longtime fixture in Chicago sports, Harvey Wittenberg was the voice of the Chicago Blackhawks as the public address announcer from 1961-2002. He is still the Blackhawks’ Internet columnist and the author of the 2003 book Tales from the Chicago Blackhawks, a history of one of the first teams in the NHL.
