The library offers a variety of book clubs! Copies of all the current month's titles are available for pickup at the Adult Help Desk. Check our event calendar to see what we're reading now.
We have many resources at the library to help your group get started, and to help existing book clubs find great reads. We have an in-house inventory of popular book club books which you can check out for your group.
For other great book club titles, go to Novelist, a resource provided to our patrons that includes information on titles and authors and may even include book discussion questions!

The Wauconda Area Library is excited to be adding new titles to our book discussion collection! Some of our most recent additions include these bestsellers:
- An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
- Caste by Isabel Wilkerson
- The Dutch House by Ann Patchett
- Educated by Tara Westover
- The Guest List by Lucy Foley
- The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- One by One by Ruth Ware
- The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
These titles are available for local community book clubs to check out and discuss. Patrons can check out all of the books under one library card and distribute them to their book club members, or each person in the club can check them out individually. The full list of titles can be found here.
If your book club is looking for a title we do not own, you can make a request for the title through inter-library loan as long as it was published at least 6 months ago. We can obtain up to five copies of the book for your group.
