Become a Library Trustee
If you’re passionate about public libraries, becoming a Board member is a great way to serve your community!
- Must be a registered voter
- Resident of the Library District for at least one year prior to the election
- At least 18 years of age at the time of the consolidated election on April 6, 2021.
- Not in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the library district
- Not convicted in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony
Voters will pick candidates to fill four 4-year Library Board of Trustees seats.
Library trustees attend all regular monthly meetings and special meetings of the board, and participate in one or more Board committees as necessary. They participate in the decision-making process for the district including the establishment of library policies, and monitor the budget and expenses. As stewards of public resources, board members are public servants who serve in the best interest of the community. Trustee positions are nonpartisan. Once elected, board members may be nominated to serve as President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer.

Petition papers must be filed with the Library’s Administration Office beginning Monday, December 14, 2020 through Monday, December 21, 2020, during regular business hours.
