Register to Vote @ Your Library

 March 8, 2005 is the last day to register
for the April 5, 2005 election!

The Wauconda Area Library generally has deputy registrars on hand from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.  If you wish to register at the library, please call ahead (847-526-6225) to make sure a deputy registrar is on duty.  There are several other locations in the area which offer voter registration.
 
Only U.S. citizens who will be 18 years old by April 5, 2005, may register to vote.  At registration, two forms of identification must be presented, with one showing a current residence address.  This can include a driver's license, utility bill, checkbook, state or school ID, social security card or a credit card.
 
The Wauconda Area Library offers voter registration during regular hours as an ongoing service.  The last day to register for the April 5, 2005 election is March 8, 2005.

To register to vote, registrants must be:

• U.S. citizen
• 18 years old by April 5, 2005 (can be 17 when registering)
• Resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to an election

To register, two forms of identification must be presented, one of which must show your current residence address, such as:

• Driver's license
• State ID
• Utility bill
• Checkbook
• Social Security card
• Credit Card
• School ID
