Studio 118 Art Show is on display!

Every child is an artist, and our very own
young artists of District 118 have been working
hard in preparation for the annual District-wide
art show. The library is again proud to host
this year's show, which will feature work by
students in grades 1-12.
Awards presentations honoring those students whose artwork was chosen to be included in the show will be held in the
Genevieve Lincoln Meeting Room at the library.
Awards presentations are scheduled as follows:
Monday, February 27
Robert Crown School
Grades 1-2 at 6 p.m.
Grades 3-5 at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, February 28
Wauconda High School at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, February 29
Wauconda
Middle School at 6 p.m.
Matthews Middle
School at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 3
Cotton Creek School

Grades 1-3 at 9:00 a.m.
Grades 4-5 at 9:45 a.m.
Wauconda Grade School
-
Grades 1-2 at 11:00 a.m.
Grades 3-4 at 11:30 a.m.
Grades 5 at 12 p.m.

Youth Art Month, sponsored by the Council for Art Education, seeks to develop self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others, self-expression, cooperation with others, and critical thinking skills through art. These skills are vital to the success of our future leaders -- our children.
Be sure to stop by the library see for yourself the remarkable talent of our District 118 art student! Studio 118 will be on display at the library through March 22.
