The Wauconda Area Library is excited to offer its patrons free "Wowbrary" email alerts that showcase the library's newest items each week. The alerts feature the latest bestsellers, movies, music CDs, audio books, children's titles, cookbooks, mysteries, travel guides, health books, science fiction and more purchased by the library.

"This is a great new way to enjoy and use your public library more," says library director Tom Kern. "People are truly amazed when they see in one place just how many great new titles we purchase each week, which they can reserve and borrow at no cost. Best of all, there is something for everyone -- we cover all age groups and many diverse interests."

Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m.

Join us for an evening book talk with New York Times bestselling authors Lauren Willig and Tasha Alexander. Ms. Willig is the author of the Pink Carnation series, which includes The Secret History of the Pink Carnation and The Garden Intrigue. These wildly popular books follow a group of spies as they fight for Britain and fall in love.

Ms. Alexander is the author of the Lady Emily Ashton mystery series, which includes A Crimson Warning and Dangerous to Know. These Victorian mysteries are suspenseful, rich in detail and witty.

Books will be available for purchase and signing following the book talk, provided by Lake Forest Bookstore.
