The purpose of the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library enriches the community by raising funds to support library services.  The Friends group also acts as library advocates and works to help ensure that the library plays an important role in the community.  In past years, the Friends group has provided funding for the library's surround-sound theater system, a 300-gallon aquarium, a fireplace, a 42-inch HDTV for promoting library services and events, and the "Cafe Art" photographic series displayed in the Cozy Corner Cafe. Most recently, the Friends funded the purchase of an Early Literacy Station, a kid-friendly computer workstation for preschoolers. The organization has helped sponsor many of the library's popular events and services, including:

Literary and Culture Events
Summer Concert Series
Annual Used Book, DVD, and CD Sale
Free Paperback Book Exchange
