The Cozy Corner Cafe is now open!

Now that fall is in the air, it's the perfect time to check out the library's new Cozy Corner Cafe!

The current newspaper/magazine area is now an attractive cafe featuring bistro-style furnishings and comfy seating.  Enjoy custom-brewed hot beverages at reasonable prices - you're sure to find your favorite flavor among our dozens of offerings.

Our self-service Keurig coffee machine brews a fresh cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate in just 30 seconds using purified water.  There are dozens of gourmet brands and flavors from which to choose at our Information Desk.  High-quality brand names available to you include:

New vending machines also offer a variety of popular cold drinks and snack foods, including healthy alternatives.

Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale
October 10 - 12

This is one shopping excursion you can't afford to miss!  Choose from thousands of books, CD's, movies and more at the Annual Fall Book Sale at the Wauconda Area Library from Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12.  The book sale is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The book sale hours are:

Friday, October 10 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Sunday, October 12 from Noon until 3:30 p.m.*

*Sunday only!  Fill a bag for $5 all during the sale!
 

Don't forget the special Friends Preview Night on Thursday, October 9 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.  Get first dibs on thousands of items!  Friends Preview Night is open to current members only.  Annual memberships and renewals may be purchased at the Information Desk.

Stop by the Information Desk at the library to fill out a membership form or click here.  The Friends of the Library meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Genevieve Lincoln Meeting Room.  Members of the Friends are entitled to a 50% discount on all Friends-sale books.  For more information, please call the library at 847-526-6225 or check out the Friends web page.

The purpose of the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library enriches the community by raising funds to support library services.  The Friends group also acts as library advocates and works to ensure that the library plays an important role in the community.  Just this last year, the Friends group has sponsored the purchase of the HDTV in the main part of the library, artwork for the new cafe as well as:
