Meet Author Jon Clinch

Sunday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m.

In his novel Finn, Jon Clinch brings back to life the world of Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn, crafting a parallel narrative and exhuming the body of Huck's dark and disturbing father, Pap Finn.  Clinch's novel tells the story from an adult's perspective, recreating a scene that he admits "spooked and creeped him out."

About Jon Clinch

Born and raised in upstate New York, Jon Clinch has been an English teacher, a metalworker, a folksinger, an illustrator, a typeface designer, a housepainter, a copywriter and an advertising executive.  He abandoned the big ad agencies in favor of founding a small one with his wife, Wendy.  He has lectured all over the country, including the Mark Twain House and Museum.

Don't miss this captivating tale as told by the author himself.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
