Fall Book Sale at the Wauconda Area Library from
Friday, October 6 through Sunday,
October 8.The book sale is sponsored by the Friends of the
Wauconda Area Library.
Book sale hours are: |

Friday, October 6 from 9:00 a.m. until
6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00
p.m. Sunday, October 8 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Special Friends Preview Night - October
5
The Friends of the Library are invited to
the "Friends Preview Night" on Thursday, October 5
from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Annual memberships and
renewals will be made available at the library's Information
Desk in advance and also during the Preview Night.
Memberships will also be available throughout the
sale.
Become a Friend!
The Friends of the Library enriches the
community by raising funds to support library
services. The Friends group also acts as library
advocates and works to ensure that the library plays an
important role in the community. Just this last year,
the Friends group has sponsored:

Events Mother/Daughter Craft Programs Father/Son Craft
Programs Summer Concert Series Children's Author
Events Fall Used Book Sale
Members of the Friends are entitled to a
50% discount on all Friends-sale books. The Friends of
the Library meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30
p.m. in the Genevieve Lincoln Meeting Room. For more

This year's theme for the American
Library Association's Teen Read Week is Get Active @
your library, which encourages teens to use the
resources at their library to lead an active
life. Be inspired! Get active and
volunteer, try out for a new sport or
hobby, prepare for college,
or choose a career. The library can
help you get started.
