Your Library Card: "The Smartest Card" You Own!

Your Library Card
"The Smartest Card" You Own

* September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month *

* Library Partnership with the Business Community *

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month a time when we at the Wauconda Area Library like to remind all district residents that your library card is the "smartest card" in your wallet. Our goal is to make your library card the most valued and most used card in your wallet.

Your library card is your ticket to opportunity.   What other card in

your wallet gives you free access to books, CDs, movies and magazines and all sorts of other resources that can change your life or just make it a little more fun?

Freebies and Discounts!

There are more reasons than ever to get a library card or replace a lost one (or dig yours out of your wallet)!  More than 100 participating businesses throughout the library district will reward you with discounts or freebies when you present your library card during the month of September.

Everyone is invited to pick up a list of vendors and their discounts or freebies at the library or view the list at  http://www.wauclib.org/NationalLibraryCardSignUpMonth/Freebies-2004.htm.

For further information or to learn how to get a library card, please call the library at 847-526-6225 or visit http://www.wauclib.org/.  Better yet, come to the library to see whats new and how many ways you can take advantage of your library card it may well be the smartest thing you ever do!

Special Library Offer for National Library Card Sign-Up Month
Put Your Library Card to Good Use and WIN!

In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, library users who check out at least 10 items in a single visit will be eligible to enter our prize drawings for three $25 gift certificates from Barnes and Noble and other great prizes donated by some of the participating businesses.

The library now owns more than 115,000 books, magazines, videos, and CD's, and we guarantee that you'll be glad you put your library card to good use.  If you need any help deciding what to check out, please let us know -- we're always happy to help!  We hope you win one of our prize drawings, but even if you don't, you are a winner -- after all, you will have made good use of "the smartest card" you own!
