These hands-on classes will be held in the lower level Wireless Lab across from the elevator. Please register early as classes fill up quickly!

Teens, share your opinions about what youd like to see and do at Wauconda Area Library while earning community service hours. Help tackle projects, meet new people, and have fun! TAB participation looks great on job and college applications and will allow you to make a difference at your library. To get involved, stop by the Adult Services Reference Desk to pick up an application. You dont need a completed application to attend meetings, but your parent or guardian must sign your application before you can participate in volunteer projects.

We want to put our community on the map with the most readers, the most books read, and the most teens EVER to sign up for summer reading at the library. The challenge is on! Does your grade have what it takes to win? The library will award a PIZZA PARTY to the ENTIRE GRADE grades 6 through 12 that reads the most books this summer. Special recognition will also be given to the teen from each school who reads the most books. As an extra awesome incentive, well be raffling off BIG prizes every week. The more you read, the better your chances to win. And YES eBooks and audiobooks count! Weekly prizes include passes to area water parks, mini golf, movies, the Lake County Fair, and so much more. Everyone will receive a prize JUST for signing up. Make your school AND your grade a standout in the community READ! Will it be the 7th graders? Freshman class? Or maybe the Seniors will take top honors! The winning grade will be announced on the first day of school. Register at the Adult Services Reference Desk starting Tuesday, May 28.

Dont delay! Registration begins Tuesday, May 28. The first 25 adults to register for summer reading will receive a FREE pair of Ravinia lawn tickets.
