Bliss Wine & Gifts in Wauconda

In 2001 Gale Gand was named Outstanding Pastry Chef by the James Beard Foundation and Pastry Chef of the Year by Bon Appétit. She is currently the executive pastry chef and partner of the renowned Mobil Four Star, AAA Five Diamond restaurant Tru. Chef Gand will prepare recipes from her latest book. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Reading is so delicious and so is giving back to the community. While enjoying our food-themed summer reading club, receptacles will be available in the second floor lobby and downstairs in the Childrens Services department for donations. Canned goods and non-perishable items will be donated to the Wauconda Food Pantry. Additionally, children who drop off items in the Childrens Services department on Fridays during the summer reading club will get a chance to pick out a prize from our grab bag.
