The Children's Department

The Children's Services department is located on the lower level of the library.  At the entrance to the department is a 300-gallon fresh water aquarium purchased by the Friends of the Library.

The Children's Services department welcomes all children from birth through 6th grade and features materials and programs for all levels and interests. A storytime-and-crafts room and a spacious preschool play area will entice  young ones. Toys, puppets, puzzles, and drawing materials are provided for their enjoyment and entertainment.  For older children, the department offers six computers equipped with the library's catalog, word processing software, research resources, and "edutainment" CD-ROM's . There are also two private computer labs available which may be reserved. The Internet can be accessed on all computer workstations in the Children's department.
