The Ups and Downs of Dining at Highclere Castle

Event Type: Adult Services
Date: 1/22/2013
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Description:
Edwardian traditions are fascinating to the modern sensibility and palate. A six-course meal was considered “light” and the head cook would sooner serve Crępe Suzette to the Lordship’s dog than allow a cheeky housemaid to have it. Join us for a visit to the table of an early twentieth-century estate, both above and below stairs. Tastings included.
