Responsibilities
of Participants
All
participants are expected to...
Work with the library. The
"Library Coordinator," a staff member of the Wauconda Area Library,
is the participant’s primary contact for the Community Calendar.
Participants should communicate with their Library Coordinator whenever they
need technical support or to receive updates on the Community Calendar program.
Participants should also make sure that the library is promptly informed
of any changes in their organization’s contact information.
Enter
events and maintain their website.
The community Calendar is most effective if all participating organizations
enter their events regularly, as far in advance as possible. It is also
important thatCommunity Calendar entries be changed as necessary when events
change or are cancelled.
If participants take advantage of NorthStarNet's web-hosting service,
they must create and maintain their website, adding information regularly.
Sites should be updated at least every three months. Participants should
be sure to offer links back to their library and community web pages as well as
to the Community Calendar.
Promote! Promote! Promote! Participants should promote the Community Calendar as a resource to the community.
Adhere to NorthStarNet policies. Because the Community Calendar is hosted through NorthStarNet, participants should regularly review the policy pages to make sure that they are adhering to NorthStarNet policies. Additionally, participants should regularly communicate with their library coordinator to learn of any changes to policy or practice related to NorthStarNet of the Community Calendar.
