NEW! Library Van

Thanks to the Friends, the library purchased a new delivery van that will service new drive-up book returns at the village halls in Island Lake and Volo, along with the existing book return at Cotton Creek School.

The van will also deliver and pick up library materials for our homebound patrons. In the coming year, this service will be expanded to include senior centers and schools within the library district.

The Friends of the Library provided funding to cover the purchase of the new 2012 Transit Connect XLT. The library purchased the van from Victor Ford in Wauconda, thanks to a generous discount and immediate availability of the vehicle. The Transit Connect has received many favorable review from various sources and has the best fuel economy for a cargo van within its price range.
