SUGGESTION BOX
May, 1999
| 1. Thanks for being here. A small suggestion is to have an appreciation box so we can thank all folks who give us such great service. | Thank you! We're considering some ways of doing this. For now, the Suggestion Box is intended for all types of comments, including expressions of gratitude. |
| 2. We must sell more things to generate income (like the bogs). Perhaps bookmarks or even backpacks! They'd make great gifts for people visiting town. | Some libraries are already doing this, and the day is coming that we will offer library-related gifts for purchase, too. It's a great idea, but it must be planned carefully and presented attractively. |
| 3. (via web site) I just wanted to write to say that I am so pleased with the Wauconda Library. I have lived here for 11 years and used the library extensively. The selection of books, materials, and now this web site is fabulous Anyway, I just wanted to say that I love the library and the employees have always been helpful, professional, friendly and look like they really like their job. The customer service is A-1. Hip Hip Hooray for the Wauconda Library, you are all great! | Thank you! Hip Hip Hooray right back to you and all of our patrons! We enjoy being of service! |
| 4. I would like to tell you that an employee upstairs is working very hard. She is also very kind to me and my friends. | Thank you for mentioning it. |
| 5. Great ideas with the Teddy Bears! | Glad you like our traveling companions! Be sure to take one along on your next family trip. JS |
| 6. You should have more private computer rooms. | Unfortunately, space does not permit. These rooms should suffice, given how many other computers are available throughout the library. |
| 7. Have more than one encyclopedia for kids. | We have four general encyclopedias in Childrens Reference that always remain in the library and five encyclopedias on the juvenile nonfiction shelves that can be checked out. Also, we have the World Book 98 encyclopedia available on all of our computers. Please ask the Childrens librarian if you need any help finding these resources. JS |
| 8.(via web site) A map of the city might be helpful, I am looking for an address that is not on current maps, and other than calling the local police for information, that would help. Thanks. | We'll look into this. Good idea! |
| 9. (via web site) Thank you for your excellent services. I took great pride in being a Wauconda resident and especially appreciate your library services. In achieving my 1,000 book milestone, I even delved into the children's section. Here in Belleview, WA the library is good but I don't know if it compares favorable with the North Suburban system. However, I do know that having been in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Palmdale/Lancaster High Desert and browsing other miscellaneous libraries... | Thank you and congratulations on becoming a member of the
Millennium Club! Libraries in the Seattle area generally have a good reputation, thanks to
a good economy, Boeing, and Bill Gates. You are in good hands in Belleview! Very few
library systems compare with the North Suburban Library System -- it is one of the best in
the world.
