1. Have a spelling bee for adults. I went to |
What a fun idea! We will certainly look into hosting a bee
at the library. |
|
2. Please purchase: DVDS:
The Beach, Word World DVDs,Wire season 3, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU,
Veronica Mars season 3,Jet Lie-War, The Kingdom, Death Sentence White Noise,
The Light, Sunshine; CDs: Strangers in the Night by UFO, Saffire the Uppity
Blues Women, |
These are being considered
for purchase. Thanks for the

|
3. Please start an adult
knitting group. |
You asked and we listened –
due to numerous requests for an adult knitting group, we will be starting one
in the near future. Please watch the
Focus newsletter for more information. |
|
4. This library is too hot!
Do you realize that that is what makes people sick and spreads viruses? It’s
ridiculous! |
We generally keep the
temperature of the building set at 68 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so that most
people are comfortable. Broad
fluctuations in the temperature outside will sometimes affect the indoor
temperature until there is time for the furnace or air conditioner to adjust. Unfortunately, it is impossible to please
everyone all the time with respect to temperature, as much as we would like
to. |
|
5. A fair amount of the
songs on the CD “Totally Hits, vol. 2” are inappropriate for young children
that use the downstairs (Children’s Dept.) area of the library. Not what
young children should hear. |
This CD is currently under
evaluation by the Children’s Services staff. |
|
6. After inquiring about
Reactive Attachment Disorder, I was told in the Children’s Dept. that “very
little” was available but that the Children’s Librarian would research and
find articles. A day later I returned to find a packet with a research paper
waiting for me along with some Interlibrary Loan resources!! Your librarian
REALLY took the initiative in finding these for me. Nice work!! |
We are happy to hear that
you were pleased with not only with the resources about RAD but also with the
service you received. Thanks for the
kind words! |
