SUGGESTION BOX

February, 2008

1. I really enjoy the children’s art on the walls. Perhaps, to a smaller extent, it could be made permanent. If it were open to local adult amateurs, that would be interesting too.

We’re glad you enjoy the student art exhibit!  This is a joint project with School District 118, and we hope to do this each year.  We are also open to the idea of display adult student or amateur art, either as group or an individual exhibition.  In fact, we have been doing this for years in the Lincoln Room.  Please let us know if you would like to propose a specific art exhibition.

2. Please purchase: DVDS: George and the Dragon, Touching Wild Horses, August Rush, Blind Dating, Missionary Man, Believe in Me, Sydney White, Jess Stone: Night Passage; audiobooks: Alien Chronicles, Orson Scott Card; magazines: Chicago Reader , The Diabetic; BOOK: The Librarian Who Measured the Earth.

These are being considered for purchase.  Thanks for the suggestions!

3. First let me say this is a great library – lots to do for everyone, but recently I have been required to fax documents. I thought “library”! No such luck. I have talked to other people and they say the same. It would be nice to have that option available since we are not always able to email documents…let’s think about offering a fax system for us.

In the past, we were unable to find a user-friendly way of providing this service.  We will research this again in hopes that there is now a way of providing this service for our patrons.  Thanks for the suggestion!

4. Please have a bus trip for “Dirty Dancing”.

We are considering this as one of our trips.  Thanks!
