SUGGESTION BOX

1.  I think the Gale online database is a very helpful tool for students.  It is very efficient and easy to use.  Great addition to the library!

We are glad you find this Gale Literary database useful.  We will be adding more research databases, similar to this one, by the fall.

2.  Please purchase: Initial D, Dragonball Z vol. 19,Gito the Manga books,  Halloweentown, Halloweentown High, Get a Clue, Smart House, Quints, Tangerine Bear, rest of the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, more musicals, more Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Cary Grant movies,

These are being considered for purchase.  Thanks for the suggestions!

3.  There should be a time limit on the computers so other people can use them.  Now I have to go to Fox Lake to use a computer when I live in Wauconda.

We are sorry you experienced this problem. If this happens again, please inquire at the Reference Desk.   The Adult Services Dept. has two circulating laptops for adult use which assist with overflow when the public workstations are full.  We will be purchasing additional laptops to help alleviate waiting time.

4.  I think getting the book “Flying High: the Illini: the 2004-2005 Illini Record-Breaking Season” was a waste of library money.  I hope you got it free for the U. of I.  It is just an ad for their school.  Now you will have to bet books for all other schools when they have a good team.

This book was added to the library’s sports collection because of the recent playoffs and prominent national news coverage this team received.  Whenever a local national-playoff team is covered by the press to the extent that this one was, and if a book is published which covers their winning season, it is likely that the library will acquire that book.

5.  Please consider screening for residency when registering for story time.  I have found sessions to be closed when I know families from outside communities are attending!

We will take your suggestion into consideration as we plan future programs. At this point, the library does not prohibit non-residents from participating in any programs offered for adults, teens, or children.
