SUGGESTION BOX

July, 2004

1. The Kraig Kenning program was fantastic The small setting gives a very unique opportunity.  Loved every minute of it!

We are happy you enjoyed this versatile and talented performer.  We have already booked Kraig for a return performance here next summer!

2.  I really like the soap and lotion making.  I would really like to do it again.

Glad you enjoyed it!  This fall we will be offering another young adult soap making program.  Please be sure to read the upcoming issue of our library newsletter, FOCUS, for times and registration information.

3. We need to re-teach children that a library is a place to be quiet.

We try to respond as quickly as we can to noise concerns.  Please let us know if you are experiencing problems so staff can help alleviate them.

4. I really think we should do something like mother-daughter movie or lotion making.

This fall we will be offering a mother-daughter craft program and a young adult soap making program (see above.)  Thanks for the suggestion about mother-daughter films.   We will look into this.

5.  Please purchase: DVD: Love the Hard Way, Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Beauty & the Beast (1970 version), Idle Hands, Anything Else, Speedway Junkies, Singing Detective, CSI: Season 2,

These are being considered for purchase.  Thanks for the suggestions!

6. Please buy a buffer for your DVDs!

We have purchased a DVD/CD cleaner.  Please let us know of any DVD’s that you have problems with.  Thanks!

7.  This is the greatest library; I love coming here to spend hours browsing.  The library staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and just plain friendly! I like your video section, it is so easy to find what you want; also selections are great.  The music section has a great variety of unusual and hard to find CDs...keep up the great job!  And, hopefully nothing will ever spoil the beautiful, tranquil view!

Thank you very much – we appreciate it!

8.  Talk about inconvenient!  If I need change for making copies using the copier in the children’s area, I must drag my small children upstairs with me to get change.  I suggest these solutions:  1. Make the downstairs copier able to accept library cards with value added to them, or  2. Have a change machine available downstairs, or  3. Make the downstairs copier accept paper money  or,   4. Provide children’s librarians with a money box for making change.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  Number One of your alternatives is planned.
