SUGGESTION BOX

July, 2003

1. It would be nice to have a writer’s group at the library.  I’m a writer and would enjoy the encouragement and creativity.

We’d love to do this and are now investigating ways of doing it.

2.  Just experienced a great musical event “Lakeshore Brass” which afforded an opportunity for fine music, culture, without having to go to the “city”.  More of the same!

Thank you – more is planned!

3.  I really enjoyed the Lakeshore Brass Band! Thanks a million!

Thank you!

4. How wonderful these concert programs have been.  Keep it up!

Thank you!

5.  The local Wauconda paper is always missing.  Keep it at the front desk and take driver’s license or library card to insure return of paper.

We are aware of your concern and we will be checking the shelf daily for that paper.  We plan to get another subscription which we’ll keep at the Reference Desk for in-library checkout.

6.  If at all possible could you please subscribe to more literary journals, such as the Yale Review, the Paris Review, Santa Monica Review, etc.?  These are very helpful for aspiring writers, especially for the young writers’ clubs!

We’ll consider subscribing to two or three such literary journals.

7.  Your programs are outstanding!  I’m proud to be a patron of this library!

Thank you – we’re proud to have patrons such as you!

8.  Please acquire: Seabiscuit  and The Da Vinci Code on CD; videos and DVDs: Permanent Midnight, Evolution, The Forsyte Saga, Hickory Dickory Dock, Summer of Fear, Trois Coleurs; CDs: Frida, Red Dragon, Catch Me if You Can; books on the Great Lakes for children and adults.
