SUGGESTION BOX

October, 2002

1. (via web site)  It would be nice if patrons could (with their library card) “sign out” a headphone set to listen to audio without disturbing other patrons in the computer room.  Right now the computers are not set up to listen without headphones.  (Understandably so; if you had several computers’ audio going at the same time it would be too much noise.)  But it would be nice to be able to access the audio, with headphones.  Thank you.

We plan to do this by the end of the year.  Thanks!

2.  It would be so wonderful if we could have a book drop somewhere in Wauconda’s shopping area such as Jewel or Ace Hardware.  Thank you!

We’ll consider this in the future.  Please be aware, though, that we serve Island Lake, Fox River Valley Gardens, and Volo – Wauconda residents already have a driveup book drop in town – right here at the library!  There is also a driveup book drop at Cotton Creek School in Island Lake.

3.  I think your librarians and Pages (people who put books away) are the best!

Thank you!  We like to put the books and other materials back ourselves in order to help ensure accuracy.

4.  Your Reference Librarian is wonderful!  She helped me so much in finding a reference copy of the Wauconda Leader.  The system works!   Thanks so much!

Thank YOU!

5.  Please get: “Music of the Heart”, “Goodbye Girl” A Star is Born”, “Godspell”, “Joseph & His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, more Inspector Morse videos,  music by Shelby Lynne,

We have ordered these videos and compact discs.

6. Can you order the newsletter “The Dow Theory”?

We’ll consider this.

7. Can you please order the book “Ghost Dog”?

We need to know a bit more – is this a children’s book?  Please talk to one of our reference librarians – we’ll try to get it!

8.  This is the best library in all of the suburbs!  Extremely well-equipped with timely resources and friendly and helpful staff.  Thanks.

Thank YOU!

9.  I would like to see the book set from the newest American Doll (Kaya) added to the library’s collection.

We have purchased two copies of each of the four Kaya titles.  Please call the Children’s department if you would like any held for you!
