1. If funds are running low for buying more books, etc., why not charge for not rewinding VCR tapes. This would be better than charging for their use.

Thank you for your suggestion - some libraries actually do charge for not rewinding tapes. We have not had a lot of complaints about this to warrant this fee, but it is something we are considering.

2. You're doing an excellent job. I came in less than a week ago (Wednesday evening) looking for a newly published book. The library did not have it, nor was it available on an interlibrary loan. The reference desk looked into it, contacted your buyer, said it was ordered. Less than a week later (Tuesday) I am picking it up. Great service!

3. You should be able to register to vote anywhere in the U.S.A.

Unfortunately, it is a law that you must register to vote in the county in which you live. The government website contains all of that information and we will be happy to give that address to you.

4. Please change the movie policy to seven days and $1.00 overdue charges.

Some of our movies currently have a 7-day loan period (documentaries and self-help). Most are loaned out for 2 days, which is typical of what many other libraries do.

5. Please put more benches outside on the beautiful grounds! Such a nice place to waste.

We agree! This is a possibility for the future, when the library can afford it, or perhaps it will be donated. For now, we must focus on the essentials.

6. I think the library should have a bake sale for the hungry kids. They should have it every day and someone volunteers to make the food for the day and sell big pieces for 25 cents and a small piece should be 10 cents and a humungous piece should be 50 cents. We like your suggestion. However, there is more to this than one might think, and the library cannot at this point in time afford to raise money for non-library purposes.

8. I tripped on the rug at the entrance. You should put a sign of a bright color there.

Sorry about that! We try to keep the rugs flat, so that they won't catch your shoes.
