Wauconda Area Library
Decorations
Policy
Approved
by the Board of Library Trustees November 8, 1999
In
keeping with Article 5 of the Library Bill of Rights which states that "a
person's right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin,
age, background or views," decorations in and around the library building
shall not represent the background or views of any single group of individuals
over those of another group. The
Wauconda Area Library should not be perceived as endorsing one political or
religious point of view over another.
This policy will apply to all decorations and other display materials
not in the library's collection.
